 Every 3rd Monday, Wed, and Sat of each month

 *Additional Payment options: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Credit, and Debit Cards in office/phone or you have the option of mailing or bringing your Money Order/Check in our office. No Cash Please. 

*If you choose to take advantage of the family rate, you can bring as many visitors that are allowed to visit one inmate at a time. To be eligible for the family flat rate, all family members must be visiting the same inmate. You may be asked to provide to Inmate Family connections letter of approval.

    Currently, Ely trips are scheduled ONCE per month on Mondays, Wednesdays, Sundays. Frequency of trips will increase if the need arises. If you have a different visiting day, please call our office and check if we can make arrangements for an additional trip day.

    You are welcome to bring reading materials, blanket, pillow, snacks, etc. to contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

     Visiting:

  • Mondays and Tuesdays (Maximum Lockup/CMU Inmates);
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays (General Population Units 5, 6, 7)
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday (General Population Unit 8 inmates);
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening (Minimum Custody inmates).

  • Visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. for all daytime visits, and 4:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. for the minimum custody inmates. Visitors are encouraged to call 24 hours in advance to make sure the inmate is still located at Ely State Prison, and that their visiting days have not changed.
